2024 Annual Report

Your trusted credit union since 1936

A message from our Chair

Water and Power Community Credit Union was founded in 1936 by people who understood that we are stronger together. Our values have remained the same through the many changes that have occurred in the years since. Our purpose has always been to partner with our members and communities to help them attain their financial goals, and this is what continues to make us stronger together.

The Board of Directors is pleased to report that 2024 saw continuing accomplishments, even in the midst of an economic slowdown that has affected many financial institutions and their members. The hard work of all our employees paid off and we were able to assist our members with their financial needs.

Despite the turbulent economy, we ended 2024 with a regulatory net worth of 9.39%, well above what is considered well-capitalized. We also welcomed 1,713 new members and your credit union’s asset base stood at $944,737,680. Our members communicated with us in many ways throughout the year, among them online, in person, through secure messaging, or via chat and video. We also continued to send out comprehensive member surveys. Your participation and feedback are always welcome so that we can make improvements in our service to you.

As always, our gratitude goes out to our core sponsor group, The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The support from the department employees who choose us as their primary financial institution makes us a stronger organization and we want to represent even more of you.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our members for their unwavering support. And as always, I would like to acknowledge and thank our credit union staff for their dedication to serving our members.
