Dear WPCCU Membership,

Over the past 24 hours, many of us have heard the news of a global IT issue. This issue has affected multiple sectors including health care, public transit and financial institutions.

The Executive Team at Water and Power Community Credit Union wants you to know that we are open, operational and that your funds are safe and secure. Our teams are here to assist you with your banking needs. In addition, our online banking platform is available and functional to check balances, perform transfers and schedule bill payments (among many other things).

While WPCCU is operational, we understand that not all institutions may be. Threat actors (the bad guys) like to use times of crisis to commit fraud and scare people into making quick decisions with potentially devastating consequences. Please note that WPCCU will never contact you for your personal information. Please contact us at 800-300-9728 immediately should you feel you fell victim to a fraudulent call.

In addition, please be cautious about any suspicious communications. If you are unsure of the validity of a communication, hang up/do not respond and reach back out directly to that institution through their 800 number, website or physical location. As our members, we care about your information’s safety.

We are grateful for your business, support and attention during this difficult time. We also extend our well wishes to all consumers and businesses impacted. We hope you all stay safe and are able to return to normal in the very near future.

Sincerely,

The WPCCU Executive Team
